Welcome to Essence Coffee Roastery, founded in 2023. Our roastery was born out of a passion for exceptional coffee and a desire to share that coffee with others. Our journey began with a simple belief: that the perfect cup of coffee is not just a beverage, but a reflection of care, craftsmanship, and connection.

Small-Batch Coffee
We roast our coffee on a 1kg. Mill City roaster. Each batch is carefully roasted to bring out the best in the coffee.
Flavor Variety
We offer a variety of coffee, each roasted to highlight the origin from which they come, resulting in flavor profiles distinctly different from each other.
Specialty Coffee
We roast only specialty coffee, defined as scoring 80 points or higher on the SCA cupping form.
Fresh Roasted
Freshly roasted coffee offers the peak of flavor and aroma and using it is essential for delicious coffee.
What we do
Our coffee is something special we are proud of. To find delicious coffee can be challenging (but almost always fun), and often takes the effort of tasting many different coffee samples side by side in a very controlled manner, contrasting and comparing them, and taking notes on each coffee sample to see if they meet the flavor profile we are looking for. At Essence Coffee Roastery we put a lot of effort first into choosing delicious coffee, and second into roasting that coffee to the best expression of itself. We are focused on quality coffee because we not only want to like it, we want you to like it too!
